Excellence is achieved by aligning all the
activities in an organisation to the needs of the customers, the business
and the stakeholders.
The *EFQM Excellence Model helps organisations
to assess their current performance against a quantifiable scale of
excellence.
Its use identifies the potential for
improvement in a structured, analytical and repeatable way. From this
assessment a prioritised improvement programme can be developed to move the
organisation forward.
The model provides a “Whole Business”
perspective and is therefore one of the logical next steps for an
organisation that has used the more narrowly
defined ISO 9000 (Quality) or ISO 14000 (Environmental) systems.

regional, national and European levels.
